![]() ![]() Kinda like using oak plywood instead of a good oak board. Not the fastest bow I have by a long shot but it is accurate. I have a Boo flooring bow and enjoy shooting it once in a while. We've built a few bows out of it and the only problem we had was it tended to produce a much stiffer limb than the traditional flat grained bamboo with a little adjustment in total thickness it worked just fine. It worked out OK, but isn't particularly attractive. After some discussion re bamboo bows under clear glass on the HHL list, I decided to try a really all bamboo bow and used some of my flooring to laminate up a bamboo riser to go with the limbs. ![]() I did do one slightly different thing recently. ![]() I use the vertical all the time and it works well. General advice I've gotten is that if you're going to use laminated bamboo boards (usually flooring) for bows, use the vertically laminated, not the cross laminated. Can this be used as bow wood? What would be the best way to use it? Thanks for any insight you can offer. They are 3/4"x 3 1/2" with 1/4" x 3/4" pieces glued together across the width. Came across some laminated bamboo boards today. ![]()
